The Mid Town is quiz is conducted as we aim to produce not only leaders but an all-rounder. This is a part of our everyday general meeting. Towards the latter part of the meeting right after the Rotaractors minute. An online quiz is conducted by the Professional Development Director. Midtowner's Minute

Public speaking allows us to form connections, influence decisions, and motivate change. Without communication skills, the ability to progress in the working world and in life, itself, would be nearly impossible. Public speaking is one of the most important and most dreaded forms of communication. Having identified that it is one of the most dreadful forms of communication and also public speaking is vital for young leaders. We aim to produce many leaders from the Rotaract Club of Colombo Mid Town hence the project ‘Rotaractor’s Minute’. A project which has been taking place for the past 10 years within the club to encourage members to take part in public speaking. After every meeting, a member is picked to talk about anything they wish to speak which can be informative and entertaining to the crowd. In the absence of a topic, the crowd picks a title or an argument in which the speaker is challenged to speak in. We have been able to spot several talented individuals through this program and encouraged them to open themselves to public speaking.
