The DIGITAL CLOUD HUNT

The DIGITAL CLOUD HUNT was an online scavenger hunt. The participants had to comb through Mid Town’s social media pages and blogs to find clues in order to go into the next rounds.

Into the Polio

Into the Polio is a Polio awareness project made to give a deeper insight on what Polio is and  how polio was eradicated in the past  and currently how far has it been eradicated throughout the world. Moreover we needed our viewers to have an understanding on how other countries are coping up and trying to fight the illness. Furthermore we also wanted to hear on how Rotary has been able to create awareness and contribute towards eradicating Polio.

Website

This year the club’s website was relaunched with the idea of bringing forth the club into the public eye and to broaden the club’s online presence furthermore. With that in mind, interactive features such as ‘The Huddle’ was introduced to the website.

Rotaract TV

Rotaract TV is a Public Image initiative with a long-term plan. Visual storytelling is one of the most potent forms of communication in existence today. From films and virtual reality experiences to interactive games and data visualizations, visual stories are revolutionizing the way we persuade audiences with our messages. This is a project that possesses endless possibilities. The initiative was kickstarted and introduced to the movement this year with the vision of improving the movement’s visibility as a whole.

Today in History

Today in History is a continuous Public Image project which took place for a span of 11 months, starting in July 2020 and ended on the 31st of May 2021. This project focuses on publishing posts on the club’s social media platforms for significant days in world history. This project touched on various topics such as sports, politics, natural disasters, murder mysteries, world history and national holidays.

PR Circle

As this year was all about improving the Human Resources of the club. The PR Circle was implemented at the beginning of the year.  A google form was circulated and PR interests such as photography, designing, video editing and creative writing were gathered. All the members who responded were added into a group and also subgroups for the specific areas of interest were formed.

Board Photoshoot

The Photoshoot for the Board of Directors of the Rotaract Club of Colombo Mid Town was held on Saturday, 27th June 2020 at Bro Pub & Restaurant located in Nugegoda. All respective board members were requested to be present well-groomed and in Lounge (for Men) and Formal Wear (for Women).

The Great Mid Town Unveil

The Great Mid Town Unveil is a Public Image initiative, this project was on the launch of the Club’s new revamped website. The project committee wanted to give a more interactive launch for the new website. Therefore, the launch campaign of the new website was based on a number of challenges which created a simulation for the participants that the completion of these various challenges would help the website to load. 

Women of Mid Town

On the 8th of March 2021, the Rotaract Club of Colombo Mid Town celebrated World Women’s day through Facebook and Instagram. The celebrations took place over the publication of several posters which displayed a motivational message from our very own female Rotaractors of the club.

Mid Town's Glory

Mid Town’s Glory is the club’s 41st Charter Day celebrations. The Rotaract Club of Colombo Mid Town celebrated 41 years on the 15th of November 2020. This year’s celebrations took place virtually in light of the COVID-19 situation the country is facing. The celebrations started on the 1st of November 2020 on the club’s social media pages and ended off with a bang on the 15th of November 2020. The general members of the club were given the limelight this time. The Rotaract Club of Colombo Mid Town is blessed with a vibrant set of members from diverse backgrounds and different walks of life. From the 1st until the 14th of November all the members of the club were featured on the club’s social media pages under the title “Celebration of members”, through this project the club boasted of it’s rich combination of members from literally all industries and their unique talents.
